About you

While we know that it’s impossible to find the perfect candidate, here’s the qualities that we think would be awesome for them to have:

  • You have a gift of communicating in the written and verbal form. Maybe you have honed it through work you’ve done for an assignment, for a school club, or for a personal project.

  • You are technologically savvy. You get things digital.

  • You are a self-starter, you take initiative and ask questions when you don’t understand something (but research it first to answer your own question if need be.)

  • You are humble, curious and willing to learn. You know that you don’t know everything and are an active listener!

  • You are resourceful. You know that working in a resource-constrained non-profit requires creativity.

  • You are collaborative. You play well with others and know when to push back.

  • You are accountable for your actions. You are organized and own up to mistakes and learn from them.

  • You are detail-oriented, and check for mistakes. You cross your I’s and dot your T’s.

  • You are passionate about creating a sustainable and just world and would like to make a career in sustainability.

  • Mandatory: You are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, are currently enrolled in a Canadian college or university or be between the ages of 18-30 (a condition of our funding from ECO Canada.)

  • Nice-to-haves: You have experience with automations and online community building.
